What a way to start your day but by laying in bed with your 6 month old daughter (as you wait for your turn to take a shower) & just watching her smile & coo & experiment with the dynamic that will one day be Language. It is fascinating to watch a child develop & learn all the things we never remember learning such as how to eat, roll on to our stomach, talk, drink, walk, etc, etc...Well as I lay there this morning watching Sara coo & hum & smile I have to admit, I was a bit jealous, for I am a cynical old man nowadays & I have lost the purity that was once my existence. I traded it all for MP3 players & DVR's & the latest internet phenomenon......I need to get back that innocence.
