We awoke & headed off to California Adventure. (since this was our last day in Anaheim, we had to pack the car with our belongings & check out of the Portofino) We made our way to the gate & upon enetering we were immediately struck with the view of a large replica of the Golden Gate BridgeCalifornia Adventurin'!
We headed of to the Hollywood Backlot section of the park & got on the Monsters Inc ride.(which Jake just loved).

California Adventure

We absolutely loved the park. We took this pic by Grizzly River Run

We rode all the rides & ate a bunch of junk. Then we did a lil shopping before making our way toward the front gate in anticipation for the big parade.

We stayed to watch the Block Party Parade before leaving town & heading back home to Los Angeles.

Sara's Bday-Part 2; Day 2-DISNEYLAND

Under the constant threat of rain, we left the hotel & headed across the street to Disneyland. We got in & immediately made a bee line for the New Orleans Square area of the park. We wanted to ride the Pirates Of The Caribbean & Haunted Mansion attractions first. After hitting these rides we got on the Jungle Cruise ride before heading over to Tomorrowland & getting on Jacob's favorite ride: Buzz Lightyear. We also rode Autopia, It's a Small World, Dumbo & a lot of smaller rides in Fantasyland before heading back to the hotel after about 7 hours in the park.

That night we went to The Block At Orange. It is a nice retail set up with a lot of nice stores & restaurants. We shopped & ate a lil before heading back to the Hotel to rest up for our 3rd & final day at California Adventure!

Sara's Bday-Part 2; Day 1 cont.:

We hit Downtown Disney & walked around for a bit until our reservation was up. We went to the Rainforest Café(http://www.rainforestcafe.com/) & we were so excited to be celebrating our daughters 1st birthday there. The interior of the place is amazing. The front of the place is a huge giftshop that leads to the entrance to the restaurant proper, which is a huge archway aquarium! We were led to our table & we all sat back & took in the décor. The place is made up to look like a Amazonian rainforest complete with gorillas in the bushes & toucans in the trees along with lizards, crocodiles & huge butterflies. There is a “thunderstorm” that hits the restaurant every 20 minutes or so & the lights flicker in time with the lightning flashes & thunder crashes all around you. The kids loved it & we still had not even visited Disneyland or California Adventure yet!

Sara's Bday-Part 2; Day 1 cont.:

We left Sonic & found our hotel which was at the bottom corner of the Disneyland Resort below California Adventure. Seeing the large Mickey Mouse ears that adorn the California Screamin’ roller coaster from our hotel made us all a lil more excited & anxious to visit CA(California Adventure). The Hotel we stayed at was the Portofino Inn & Suites (http://www.portofinoinnanaheim.com/). We checked in & the family got settled as I unloaded the car. The hotel was very nice though a lil cramped but the balcony provided just the right amount of breathing room when I started to feel “boxed in”. As my Mom & Amy began to unpack, me & Jacob explored the hotel grounds. They had a pool, spa, exercise room & most important of all, an arcade. Jacob played a few video games before we went back to the room & changed for our dinner reservation at the Rainforest Café!
