Well I didn't get to update my blog daily liked I had planned to but we are back from Albuquerque & the trip was fantastic. I really like the city. It is about the size of the Valley & was a welcome relief to the overcrowdedness (is that even a word) of my beloved Los Angeles. The weather was mild & the 12 hour drive to get there wasn't too bad. On the open road you get to see things that a city boy like me just doesn't ever get to see, such as wide open expanses for as far as the eye can see.

Here is a pick of me in Barstow:

It was our first stop on our way to New Mexico.

Amy took this shot of the Colorado River as we drove past it close to the California/Arizona border:

The kids did really good on the drive & we had plenty of snacks, drinks & diversions to keep them occupied.:

We stopped in Kingman, AZ for lunch

Then we headed on to Flagstaff then on to Gallup, NM
